Drinks at 100 Barrington
At 100 Barrington, we know how important finding the right bottle of champagne, glass of wine or cocktail is to make your event perfect, which is why we have created three packages to help you find the right path for your special day, they are:
Dry Hire | Wet Hire | Mixed Hire
Each of our options brings its own parameters for the provision of alcohol, soft drinks, glassware, garnishes, ice and, of course, staffing;

What is a paid bar?
For Wet or Mixed Hire, we refer to “paid bar” this can be dealt with in three ways:
Option One
Post dinner, your guests pay for all of their own drinks.
Option Two
Post dinner, you pop a tab behind the bar, after which your guests pay for their drinks.
Option Three
Post dinner, you offer complementary drinks for your guests,
and you pick up the tab at the end of the night
Wet Hire
The full Wet Hire service from 100 Barrington means that you can take a deep breath and tick one huge job off your to do list as you let our team take care of all things “refreshment” for you at no extra cost*.
For your reception drinks and your wine for the meal, you can either chose from our pre-selected wine list, or you can choose to work with 100 Barrington’s WSET-qualified wine advisor to create a wine list for your event that perfectly matches your tastes and your menu.
In the evening, you and your guests will be welcomed by our experienced bar team who will furnish you with refreshments from our extensive drinks menu.
Other Wet Hire Info
100 Barrington have sufficient glassware to cater for your entire day, from the first glass of bubbly to the final gin and tonic.
The hire of this glassware is offered as a complimentary extra as part of the Wet Hire.
You are also at liberty to hire a different style of glassware through your caterer should you wish. However, if you choose to hire in different glassware, this must be sufficient to cater for the whole day and the evening reception; as I am sure you can imagine the confusion of trying to identify who owns what glass at 1 a.m. would be enormous.
Please talk to us if you are planning on using rented glassware for your event.
Please note that breakages are recharged at £4.50 + VAT per glass.

Mixed Hire
The Mixed Hire service from 100 Barrington is the perfection hybrid option if you would like to mix and match what you are offering to your guests.
For your reception drinks and wine for dinner, you are at liberty to choose wines from the Barrington wine list, or you can purchase wine directly from your favourite supplier. During the day, drinks are served by staff that will be brought in by your chosen caterer - do note that it would be your responsibility to make this clear to your caterer.
Once dinner has finished*, this package reverts to the Wet Hire service, where you and your guests will be welcomed by our experienced bar team who will furnish you with refreshments from our extensive drinks menu.
Other Mixed Hire Info
Firstly, a note about glassware: 100 Barrington have sufficient glassware to cater for your entire day, from the first glass of bubbly to the final gin and tonic. The hire of this glassware for the whole day is £375 + VAT. You are also at liberty to hire a different style of glass through your caterer should you wish. However, if you choose to hire in different glassware, this must be sufficient to cater for the whole day and the evening reception.
Secondly, breakages are recharged at £4.50 + VAT per glass.
Thirdly, neither 100 Barrington, nor any of our recommended caterers charge corkage on any wine you bring in for the reception or meal.
Fourth, *for a Mixed Hire, dinner must finish – and the evening service start – no later than 8pm on a Friday, Saturday or Bank Holiday, and by 7pm on all other days.
Fifth, ice and garnish for the reception and dinner drinks are supplied by your caterer; for the evening they are supplied by the venue.
Finally with this option, please note that there is a minimum spend on the bar of £3000; any shortfall in this will be covered by you.

Dry Hire
Dry Hire at 100 Barrington is the path that offers you the opportunity to build your own bar and drinks menu for the whole day, purchased directly from the retailers you choose, be that from your favourite vineyard in Provence or your local cash and carry!
With this option, you will need to hire all glassware and staff through the catering company you have selected from our list.
Each of the providers we recommend are well versed in how our venue works, so will be able to advise you on staffing levels and hire volumes.
